Getting Started

Caution

Please note that for a better understanding of the documentation, the experience will be better on a computer, especially for the diagrams.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

• A valid license key — if you don’t have one, open a ticket in our Discord server.
• The latest version of Pory for your platform — grab it from the dashboard downloads page (recommended) or the Discord server.

Use the dashboard

The Pory dashboard is the fastest way to get set up. It shows your license key, the latest installer for your platform, and the list of devices linked to your license — all in one place. See the Dashboard · Overview page for a walkthrough.

Installation

Windows

1. Sign in to the Downloads page and download the Windows build.

2. Run the installer to install Pory.

3. Open Pory.

4. Authenticate with Discord.

5. Paste your license key (copy it from the dashboard if you don’t have it handy).

macOS

1. Sign in to the Downloads page and download the macOS build (a single .dmg that works on both Apple Silicon and Intel).

2. Click on the .dmg file to open it.

3. Drag the Pory icon to install the application to your Applications folder.

4. Open Pory.

5. Authenticate with Discord.

6. Paste your license key (copy it from the dashboard if you don’t have it handy).

Troubleshooting

License key not accepted

If your license key is not accepted, make sure you have entered it correctly and that you have authenticated with Discord.

Stuck on “Verifying license key…” screen

If Pory gets stuck on “Verifying license key…” for too long, click on the “Start over” button and try again.

Errors while running tasks, monitors, or generators

If a task, monitor, or generator fails, see Troubleshooting for how to read the message and fix the most common issues.
